That's cos you need to wet it first it helps the electrons flow more efficiently.

A Tenda rebadge, I used the firmware below to update it to the latest v1.08 version. much cheaper than buying the Zyxel version at 44 quid on amazon http://www.zyxel.com/uk/en/products_services/pla5206.shtml?t=p and gives your similar performance to av2 1200 standard for 1/3 the price.
The Tenda and Zyxel use the Broadcom BCM60333 chipset, the firmwares look the same and the board alike too, I think they both use the reference chipset. On average I get 300mbs between devices over my wiring, which is approx 30mb.
Much better than old tp link 200mbs that broke. I think all powerline adaptors die over a certain amount of time.
download the management tool and firmware here, you need to connect one device to a time to the pc to update:
btw the tenda tool doesn't seem to be able to change the QoS of the device, e.g. the device connected to my routers should be high and other devices low etc. i used the zyxel tool to do this:
Thanks for these. I tried plugging the ethernet cable directly to the mains and it didn't work out well.

Had a set of these. Failed within a day. Several replacements also all failed within days of usage. Based on my experience not a good deal, even at this price.

2nd that, Sumvision have awful customer service. My experience was so bad, that I would no longer purchase any device made by Sumvision.

Their products are really bad quality as well. These will just be rebadged generic, low quality crap.
Best powerline there is, it just works and works amazingly
