Apologies if this counts as a duplicate thread just I'd like to give people a heads up. Sports was available with free delivery but didn't last long.
Sports, Movies and Entertainment all still available with free C+C. Hope this helps anyone who missed the first in store post.

more likely down to your net speed.

Show me another box for £10 that'll do iPlayer, ITV Player, All4 and Demand 5 in HD via HDMI or Scart/Phono plugs and is plug and play and still getting updates. Cheapest and easiest way to turn any old telly into a SmartTV. Unlike my Roku 1 these have been rock solid stable and reliable. Forget the NowTV service, it's the hardware that makes these still a deal.

When you go to home delivery , is says unavailable. So reserved for store pick up
Thanks OP
can these boxes run off a mobile PAYG WiFi. I have a 4g WiFi/mobile broadband, but nothing like sky or BT, but am interested in the Now TV box for the skysports option. I imagine it would drain the data dry though?...anyone else tried this??

Yes, it just needs WiFi and would not be able to tell if its from a home router, and broadband line, or a Mi-Fi.
However if you will use a lot of data, TV tends to come in around 500MB to 1GB an hour, but due to compression its hard to be very accurate. If you are watching a fairly static image say Cricket where there's not a lot of movement overall in the image, it can be on the low side, or higher if it a fast action series or movie with lots of changes in the images it can be higher. More changed in the image more data that needs to be sent in the signal.
These only do 720 so there's no HD that could take even more data.
They recommend 2MB or higher line speeds, so that's also a consideration, can your 4G keep that rate up, it should but if there's a lot of people using it around you it may not be able to and be in fits and starts at some popular times.

Yes you can tether your mobile phones data allowance to these boxes and it works fine.

these are the older 720p now tv boxes there sky is giving them away, the new ones are in black 1080p and there sky are also getting rid of the 1080i 2tb boxes so they can get the new 4k boxes out there, marketing at its finest and people think there getting a deal lol

yes new box does support 1080p, but the video and TV streaming from sky is still only 720p. deal is £3.33 a month for entertainment package.

Avoid!!! This is the most broken service I have ever used. Most of the stuff is unwatchable due to stuttering audio or picture. Just look on the forums at all the complaints. I wouldn't even use this service if it was free! Absolutely rip off!!

I like how you tell people to avoid. I have never had a problem and I haven't seen many people if any complain on here about it.

No, there is a well documented (in their forums) problem with audio stuttering (regardless of net speed) that NowTv just can't seem to fix. I like NowTv, and it's a bargain at this price, but the stuttering can get VERY annoying especially when it obliterates entire words as it sometimes does.
Heat given for this deal though.

Hot Hot Hot! bought 2, entertainment passes and 1 movies pass. Last entertainment pass due to expire in December so will add as required. Great deal. I have BT infinity and watch without buffering or stuttering on 2 devices in house at same time
