Vauxhall are doing new owners a favour. They are scraping the car for you in advance. Normally the best thing to do with an As(h)tra(y).

German company. You Brits didn't want to have Opel on the British market because that company was making bombs during WWII which were dropped on London.
So you have Opel but under badge of Vauxhall. It's not an American company.
It belongs go GM but it's old German company.

My 55 plate Astra has Air Con !
Looked up the spec below. It has air conditioning and Bluetooth as standard.
