I'm debating whether or not to buy this phone or 1GB/8GB if it gets a lot cheaper.

1gb/8gb Moto G 2014 for me was very slow until I rooted and changed to Cyanogenmod. Now it's great!

This phone is really poor value for money, I would atleast expect 1080p for that price. You are better off looking for a cheap s4, z1, n5 or g3, all superior in every way.

other than all the crapware that slows those phones down. Hardware specs are not everything

A UMI Iron, Elephone P8000 or Xiaomi Note 2 Pro would be superior to this in every way, yet about 30% cheaper. Only if we had mainstream vendors for these phones in the UK rather than having to go the Bang good/Focal Price/ Alibaba route. I'm aware a few small time UK-based Amazon and Ebay sellers offer these phones, but there is a significant jacking up of the price, by about 35%.

Considering that a sub 1080p phone can be sold for more than 500 pounds (iphone 6s) I think it's perfectly fine for a low cost phone to be sub 1080p
Plus it doesn't come with bloatware and it is made by a very reliable company.

Ok for £170.
Though the Nexus 6 64GB for £190....that was the peach.

Good price. Cheaper than Moto Maker. And Amazon has it in stock earlier than expected. Well spotted OP.
