I have never had to swap out a duff battery. But what's that got to do with the price of cheese?! In my critical line of work, I need my phone on me at all times and cannot afford to sit next to a wall plug. With the external battery kit, I am able to swap out the battery for fresh ones when I run out. So far, I have had to do this every day. So this feature has saved me (and probably some lives too).
I also have a very small child and like to take lots of videos of her in 4K. The 128Gb memory card has allowed me to store hours and hours of video. Without this, and only with the typical 32gb in most phones, I would have missed a lot of memories that I captured on holiday when we didn't have a computer to download onto or cloud to upload to.
Hope that gives you an insight into how this can benefit people in the real world.

Totally agree. Also when I am abroad I like to have my 20GB of music with me as well as my Offline navigation maps (currently using 6GB+ of tomtom maps, few good games and videos when internet is not always available. It is very shortsighted to say that external memory is becoming redundant.

It's amazing how much influence Apple has over other phone manufacturers and on Google (Android) too. Apple didn't Flash on their phones and basically killed it off as a mobile application, especially after Google followed suit. Apple didn't want removable batteries and SD expansion. Google goes the same way with its Nexus devices and with each iteration of Android, makes it more difficult for other manufacturers to include SD expansion. And more and more manufacturers are following Apple by sealing in the battery. What set Androi apart from Apple in the early days is vanishing with each new version of the Android OS.

S6 edge is a great phone with a great aesthetic feel. If you are ready to pay 100£ + just for a great form factor and be happy with no removable battery and external storage, then S6 edge should be good. If not, G4 is equally perfect IMO.

Removable battery and storage on the G4, neither of which really matter, and to be honest removable storage should be a thing of the past on phones, that is until it can match the speed of the internal NAND on the phone. Cameras are very close between the S6 and the G4. Battery life is quite poor on the S6, I should know I have one. The S6 has a much more powerful chipset and the NAND speed is the best on any current phone. The screen is arguably better on the S6 too, to be honest the screen doesn't impress me on the S6, it's good but I don't notice it as outstanding. Can you live with the battery life of the S6 is the big question?

+1 no point to spend over £320 to get an Android phone that has similar experience. Unless you really want the edge screen and easy to hack finger print sensor...
