The red 'professional' is much smaller and thinner gauge than the black 'industrial'.
There's no argument about qaulity difference or value for money. Industrial range trumps professional on everything but price.
I own both before anyone questions it.

Tried it with the trade card but it bumped the price up to £160
Was worth a try I suppose, still a good deal for £90 !!
I prefer them to Snap-On, just wish they did more sizes too!

Unfortunately iam moving house and cabinets are in storage buried with everything else but trust me the 200 kit will fit in the top shelf of top box.even has a bit of room at side for extra socket runners.just cut the plastic catch off as it gets in the way of sitting flush.

Iam intrested to know although halfords are a shambles so could be different outcome for each branch.
Went for a battery power pack on Saturday priced at 39 supplied trade card and price came up 49 ....you get my drift!!

The top box holds my 200 piece kit .just need to trim the plastic locking bit on tool kit holder which just catches on the lid .

Not the professional range .its the higher spec industrial range .guy who says there shoddy clearly has never held a spanner .lifetime warranty cracking kit for money.

These boxes are really good. I got the £399 pack a month back with roll cab and top box and am well pleased. Well worth £90. I have a Snap On box which is getting on now but these halfords boxes hold their own imo.

Most techs where I work have the halfords boxes and never seen one break etc. In my opinion these are quite good boxes and have a decent depth to the drawers. Each to there own though. I wouldn't really say these feel like shoddy metal boxes, there quite robust and sturdy. If you go for the cheaper boxes like sealy then I might agree to some degree.
