This bike was posted a few months back on here at £400 and did quite well.
Ive just ordered it as i tried it out yesterday in store and was happy with it. After researching for past few weeks Ive gone for it. As for the money and spec it seems really good value.

That £60 could get me a seat that doesn't cripple me after an hours ride
So far I have got a decent front light to get me down the canal path at night, 600 lumens is just about enough but I think a cheap import for the helmet soon. The rear for nows a £2.50 LED/Laser one off eBay that works well but I wan't brighter for on road use at night.
And I don't do the skin tight cycle shorts so I got the padded under version, still cripples me on that bloody seat though!
Only thing I have on it at the mo is a pair of V12 copies as I can't deal with being clipped in, you do not slip off V12's ( I was advised V8's but the 12's have sealed bearings so less work needed in the long run)
I throw drinks in my backpack until I get a bladder for the right price to fit in it and as of yet have not won an auction for a good U lock :disappointed:
At my age and weight you need to stop and get your heart rate back below 160 before having a heart attack requiring an air ambulance if you are lucky enough to be found!
Not been out on it for a few weeks as we all got colds so riding was out the window!
The Decathlon MTB helmet was a poor buy as is has elastic instead of a dial adjustment so it's crap and hurts after a while.
Also still looking for better tyres and a pump as I just have patches and gas cartridges at the mo.
Brakes are good but noisy so maybe pads soon, read up on bedding them in as I think I got it wrong, I should have got them hotter than I did, same as a car slow bedding in is wrong, cook em and ride them cool a few times.
Buy a shock pump, the decathlon ones spot on for under £20, Also the track pumps good for under £15

Damn, I paid £399 so am rather bitter at the further price drop. It was worth the £399.
It took a lot of fettling to get it right as the setup at Decathlon is rubbish, I had to ask for the tyres to be pumped up to ride it home!

Read your comments on previous post. so glad your happy with your purchase. Getting it delivered so hoping its gonna be easy to set up. Like you i now need a few accesories. Lock ,helmet ,pedals, drinks bottle and clothing could get pricey .
Got any recomendations?
Plus dont be bitter, you would never buy anything if waiting for reductions. main thing is your happy with it!

Stunning spec for that price, premium components all round, I paid that for a 2nd hand bike with some lesser components.

I visited four or five Decathlon stores whilst in France this year and was eyeing this up. Instead I went and upgraded my old MTB (spent out on Friday just gone). Had I known this was being reduced I would have bought this instead. Kids have the RR 340 (daughter) and 500 (youngest son) and the bikes are fantastic. My eldest is currently thinking about their entry level roadbike, the Triban 500 SE.

Seat that bad?
Like the idea of padded shorts for underneath though  good shout. I use a excersise bike alot and could have done with some of those. duh.
Thanks for the advise on the V12's ill get some of those. As i asked the guy yesterday instore and he said he would swap them out but as im getting online ill end up with those small clip in pedals.
Thanks for tips on other stuff, truly appreciate it.
Ps get well soon! That seat is missing you.
