That logic doesn't necessarily hold true, the Smart ultra 6 is made by ZTE, I'm not sure that this one is therefore the simlock could be totally different and harder to get around.

The ultra 6 is still £125, is this model a big step down?
Not as much as the £55 difference in price in my opinion. It isn't as advanced, but it's fantastic value at £70, it's certainly good enough for most people, especially if a 5.5" phone is too big.

yes, Smart Prime is slower than Smart Ultra, hence cheaper

Good price, but I think this is locked to Vodafone network only. Review suggest cheap ebay unlock codes don't work and need expect around £30 to unlock?

Cheap ebay unlock codes work for the smart ultra 6. Did it myself. So it should work for this model.

That may be true, but I got the Prime 6 unlocked using one of the £3.75 codes on ebay. The Prime is made by Alcatel One-Touch (TCL).

Snapdragon 410, 1GB RAM. It's cheap for a reason. If you can stretch to £125 the Ultra model is worth the extra IMO.
