Any deals for Guantanamo Bay or North Korea? Just want to check the competition before making a decision.

I think I managed to capture my entire visit to Blackpool in one picture.

Venture out of the tourist areas and into the residential streets for the authentic Blackpool experience, the sights are rare and wonderful, I have many precious memories from my visit.
Where else can you see toothless people sitting on worn-out sofas outside their houses drinking Special Brew at 10am? Not to mention the tremendous variety of litter to be spotted entangled in the long grasses that overwhelm the yards of unmaintained council houses. 10/10.

Blackpool should be surrounded by TNT and blown up.
It is a filthy, disgusting, chav filled hole!
It attracts the dregs of society and you really are taking a chance going out in the evening as the streets are full of tanked up, coke filled morons or orange painted slappers looking for a donor to fill the next pram and keep them in benefits for another few years.
It has been going down hill for years but that decline was fuelled by landlords who decided that they'd rather have DSS lodgers 52 weeks a year than holidaymakers for 30. It meant they didn't have to keep things quite as tidy as they would if trying to attract people who had a choice and the downward spiral gained even more momentum.
Scrotes had a choice of staying in the big city slums or moving to the seaside. They chose the seaside.
The only place where Sports Direct has an evening wear section.

But true, I've not been for a few years, it was a right dump 15 years ago... Hope it's got better because it's a shame to see a great seaside town be home to wild hen and stag do's.

Blackpool Illuminations get worse every year there is nothing to the lights this year, just the generic crap lights that have been there for years. If anything there is even less lights this year. The only night that is busy is the friday nights as apparently there is a fireworks night there has been for the past couple of weeks anyways as everybody seems to use odeons car park so you can never find a space.

Well I am sure the good people of Blackpool will wave you off with a tear in their eye and mutter under their breath good riddance!

It certainly has - in the last 4 years the council have spent £100 million on the promenade and they are trying to shake off the stag and hen do image over the next few years. It does look infinitely better, there's obviously a lot still to do and there's still plenty of grotty streets once you are away from the seafront but it's a massive improvement.
