Gigabit refers to the Ethernet port not the speed the homeplugs are capable of. These are AV600 (600Mbps) homeplugs.

Good deal. You'd be surprised how many 600mbps power plugs surprisingly seem to use 100mbps lan, these are gigabit so no immediate bottleneck on that front, plus a great price for a pass through pair!!

Can someone let me know how these work? Do you just plpug them into the mains or adapter then attach a ethernet cable from the router into one, does this then transmit the signal through the mains and I can plug the other in my room and attach a ethernet from that to my computer? Is this effectively wired internet but without using wires all around the house?

I could do with some of these to replace my adding 50mbps ones but I need one that allows me to plug in multiple devices.

Could you not just get an ethernet switch and plug the 'slave' powerline adapter into this if you need multiple devices connected? I have one and it works perfectly with my ps4, sky+hd and android tv boxes :smiley:
