Disagree. You just need to take a bit of care and attention and follow the instructions properly. This kit would easily retail for about £10 from places like the Science Museum so well worth £2.
Bought one for my son today from Lakeside Thurrock branch, and I pretty much hogged playing with it all evening when we got home!

No, not £2 each. It's a kit to build all of them. The parts are interchangeable. It's a fun kit.

The solar cell is a bit too small, it will only work in full on direct sunlight

Lot can go wrong, you need to do quite a lot to get it working. Connecting the cables is the hardest part. Not colding it, but I do think it is a cheap product and not worth any more than £2.
