I bought it when it was £10 for 10kg and there was no basmati fragrance at all.

I bought some and really enjoyed it. Slighty harder texturea than Kohinoor Platinum but at half the price I cant complain...

These big bags are never in my Morrison's (Lincoln), in fact the entire international section is pigeon holed over 2 or 3 small shelves :disappointed:

Assuming you mean rice, thai rice is completely different to basmati. Stickier and more starchy and a very different fragrance. You wouldn't normally eat Thai rice in a dish that is usually for basmati, such as an indian style curry.
The same way that you wouldn't eat a decent curry with chips... Oh wait.
Also, i would councel against buying too much rice. If you take more than a few months to eat it, and unless you can guarantee an air-tight seal, it will likely get infested with mites.
If you've had rice at home in any kind on non-fully-sealed container, check out the very bottom, among the dust. You are very likely to have mites without realising it. I'm not usually that fussy and will eat cheese knowing it's infested with cheese mites. But when their big enough to see easily, that a little more protein than i care for.
