Why all the arguments about ice v's ev, I have a leaf and commute 46 miles a day which uses 45 to 50% of the battery, I get home and it takes a minute to plug it in to charge, we have solar panels so on a sunny day the recharge cost is minimal so lets say I recharge the battery 3.5 times a week at a cost of £3.00 per 100% charge less lets say 25% allowing for free electric from the solar system which works out at around £7.40 per week in electricity, in my previous diesel car this was costing me £30 a week, plus the leaf is far better for the environment and is a far more relaxing quieter drive with no freezing car to get into on a cold morning with pre heat.
So stop the bickering as it works out fine for some folk and will not work for others
£5800 deposit CONTRIBUTION, means they (Renault) are paying the deposit.
Not a bad price, but probably a very limited range on these cars?

Hahaha that's hilarious. Except that there's absolutely no reason why you couldn't go to Europe in one.

My commute is only 14 miles a day, but unfortunately I need to go to customer meetings occasionally which would be over the range, and with very little chance of there being a charging point when I get to the meeting.
I drove 245 miles in a single day in my Zoe only yesterday. Almost every motorway service station in England has rapid chargers now and they are currently free to use. I generally average 100 miles per charge through the summertime. Its a lovely car and would highly reccomend to anybody that is considering an EV : )

£114 a month for 5K
£152 a month for 7.5K
means 18p a mile. How does this stack up via the recent leaf deal?
Btw, for accurate comparison, your getting the top model here with all the bells and whistles

Ok, I might be missing something here..my 18p a mile is for the extra 2.5K miles over the std 5K allowance. In the small print, it says excess miles are charged at 6p a mile??
So why wouldn't you take the std 5K mileage deal and pay just 6p a mile, for your extra 2500 miles? That would make total monthly cost for annual 7.5K mileage = £127?

A solution for anyone looking for a better deal at lower mileage.
£79/m for the car.
£35/m for the battery lease (3000 miles).
£79 deposit.
Advantage is, excess mileage is only 5p per mile, so the price for up to 5k miles is much more realistic. An extra 2k miles would be £100
