Before everyone blasts off and moans at me I'm after a dongle that will mirror everything from my android tablet not just approved programs like a Chromecast does. So for me a Chromecast is not what I want, I want a dongle that will mirror everything.
So been looking and there is a lot of cheap crap out there that is very poor. I came across this one, seems pretty good and reviews on Amazon/7dayshop are very good.
I can't test it because I'm currently away from home but doesn't the chromecast have a mirroring option in the app to mirror everything that's on screen anyway?

So even though the 2012 Nexus 7 can't mirror its screen due to hardware limitations so how this device will work?

For what it's worth I got a Measy miracast dongle from Futeko for use with a win8 tab. I found it to be very frustrating. Don't know if it was the device or the tech that was poor though.

You can mirror everything on your phone/tablet by selecting the "cast screen" option on the Chromecast app.
I've had the Chromecast for a good few months now & I have to say its a lot easier to use & more convenient than my smart TV, PlayStation and even the the roku.

I have had a few sumvision items, a no nonsense DVD player and a general purpose media player with Ethernet. both have been cheap but feel well made and neither have let me down over many years use.
