50% off Spotidy Premium for students has been around for a while, but now there's no requirement to buy an NUS extra card, which usually cost £12 (if your uni doesn't provide one for free), if you sign up via unidays . Only works for students though as they require you to sign in to your uni via Shibboleth/OpenAthens.

It's a cracking deal for a student. I rather luckily get an NUS card through my previous employer as an Alumni (which is awesome), well worth the £5 a month for premium, tbh well worth the £10 a month if you are not a student.

Not sure if virginmedia are still doing spotify but I signed up 18 months ago and still get spotify for free, it was supposed to last 6 months, I know they do student bb deals for 9 months as well

Unidays is a website free to sign up to that offers students discounts online...you can get to the student spotify sign up through them.

Seems like it's valid for more than 12 months. You just have to verify again that you're a student to get another 12 months.
"Prior to the end of the Discount Periodyou may reactivate the Offer for an additional twelve (12) months period (“Extension Period") by again submitting your still valid Discount Records. You may only use your NUS Card or Unidays registration to get the Offer for one Spotify account." https://www.spotify.com/uk/legal/studentplan/

Thanks - you've just reminded me to cancel my Spotify subscription as I'm using Google Music these days instead! Good deal - Spotify is pretty awesome but Google Music pretty much offers the same functionality except through a web browser, is free to use on mobile devices and you can upload all your own music to it.
