That's a poor reason for a cold vote. If the subject matter is of no interest to you, then simply move on. They are well reviewed books made available free of charge - that's a hot deal!

Yes, takes time to also see the present moment.
Mindless meditation changed my life.
I used to look at these classes and mock the people there, feeling like I was in some weird cult.
What the heck these people doing?
I can't feel anything.
Then all of a sudden whilst in East London doing a class, the Church across the road started chiming it's bells.
Then in that moment, everything became clear.
I'm not trying to suggest anything religious happened, but the moment that bell struck, we was all dragged by ears into the present moment and you then realise what a gift it is.
I'm a complete convert, after trying to many other things.
It cured my migraines, helped me stop gambling and helped me find peace within and helped me with all aspects of businesses.
It's all too easy to judge this stuff as hocus pocus and waddle, but I now see the kid in my own mockery, like doing the old coin behind the ear trick and falling for it.
The spirit is definitely a bit of a trickster

Being "in the present" may sound wishy-washy, but refers to not thinking about things that stress you, but paying attention to other things, typically sensations such as what you can smell, feel, hear, see, touch and taste. If you practice doing this it becomes easier and eventually second nature, thoughts do not run on a loop in your head and stop becoming overwhelming.
I put this into practice when trying to sleep if I am thinking of work, it is effective in diverting my attention from worrying thoughts to something more pleasant and comforting, I usually get to sleep. It works for me.
Nowadays, doctors will often recommend this either instead of, or in conjunction with antidepressants, which obviously have side effects. If you have family or friends suffering from anxiety please recommend.

I'm no expert in this area but I suspect depression and anxiety often stem from a past experience. To become more present involves putting the past behind you and moving on. I could be wrong but that is an essential part of the healing process.

Possible silly question but I do not currently have a Kindle Unlimited account set up. Can I register for the free 30 day trial as an existing prime account holder then download and keep the free books?
Thank you in advance for the advice!

If you're asking in relation to these free books, you don't need Kindle Unlimited to get these - just click on the Buy Now button (instead of the Read for £0.00)...so long as the Kindle Price is still £0.00 of course.

Words like present have an ordinary meaning in English, but are used in a technical jargon sense here. To someone unfamiliar with the jargon, it does indeed sound like twaddle and I found the explanation very helpful, thanks.
Alas, too late for me, as it's now £2.99!

I think the best ever way to explain this is the following.
The mind is like a monkey, constantly playing around, thinking, worrying, doing, its your subconscious mind, the constant inner chatter.
Being in the present is giving the monkey work to do.
That's it, by giving it something to do. You become aware of it and present in the moment
