This is articuloud, it's a free speech to text conversion application for android devices valued in at a whopping tag of £59.99 on the google play store website, it can be used with other voices from companies like cereproc that apparently do a voice cloning pc software for a whopping £499 but according to sources is a way to clone a persons voice and replicate it with text to speech, I would like to see that app come to play store but in the mean time I think I can settle with this one. Don't know when it ends but in days I do know.
To get this go to the play store on your phone and search articuloud and download the crossed out price articuloud app. I have stated this incase the link doesn't point you to this automatically.

"Articuloud is ideal for people who have good cognitive abilities and written language skills, but have lost the ability to speak, due to a physical impairment such as Motor Neurone Disease/ALS, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Head and Neck Cancer or a Head Injury."

you write words with it and it converts the written voice into voice spoken text. Apparently you can add different text to speech (TTS) voices somehow and somehow being the latter word here if anyone figures that out let us know here please? Apparantly Acappela and Cereproc voice packs available on play store at priced amounts can be used average cost 59p each I saw them at maybe free one's could be applied I do not know much about this app I was looking for TTS apps and stumbled on it.

no reviews , anyone know if they also have it for iPhones ?
iOS has reasonable text to speech functionality built in (accessibility in settings).

the prices are all over the map.......maybe the £39.99 is up so they can charge insurance companies etc more
it is an interesting app , you can type non words into it and it pronounces them too
How do you change the language and accent ? That might be fun !

So it's a text to speech app? Not a Speech to text app as it says in the deal title?

Got to admit, this is a pretty impressive app if you want a posh 'radio 4' female voice to swear & talk dirty to you!!
If it hadn't been for me typing it in, I'd have been be pretty shocked at this potty-mouth Jezzabel :sunglasses:

It's utterly brilliant when having a bit of banter at work! Spell out a potty mouthed response and press the talk button lol.

The Voice is a bit strident... I was hoping for more of a Katie Derham voice...

There are lots of free TTS apps on the Play Store. With higher ratings. From respected developers. What makes this one so special? I don't believe for a moment that it was ever worth £60

Agreed. I had the misfortune of requiring a text to speech app for a relative about two years ago now, they weren't very tech savvy but a free app did the job combined with Swift Key keyboard app as that's perfect at auto-prediction.
The speech therapist was amazed that such an app existed which put her down in my esteem instantly as she dealt with people who had their vocal chords removed and hadn't made the effort to find an app for these people to help with communication.
Knowing that speech therapist though they'd wet themselves over something they could throw unnecessary money at.
