... or perhaps proudly liberating Europe, North Africa and Asia from the tyranny of fascism, proudly fighting IRA terrorists to protect our own people when the police can't, proudly intervening in a civil war in the Balkans and in doing so saving tens if not hundreds of thousands of lives (the list goes on a long way). You seem to have forgotten: perhaps you would be happy if our nation was speaking German and gassing Jews?

Still waiting for the revolution Che?
Oh hang on Che was chief cheerleader for the Soviet army and it's tanks squashing poor people in Hungary 60 years ago but that's ok no doubt because those poor people were "fascists and CIA informers" (_
Try to bear in mind you're trapping off your student tripe on a device manufactured by a corporation on the internet built up and maintained by corporations hmmmm you're probably even munching on coco pops brought to your revolutionary breakfast table by various corporations right now.
Now please just get off a website that specifically deals in prices for products and services by big corporatians and raise that fist high some place else citizen!

What on earth are you talking about?
I served as an Army officer for a long time and I'm proud of almost everything we did (the possible exception being the Iraq piece that the Labour government of the time led us into). Generally I think it was worth the effort, even for those who lost their lives, except that is when I read comments like yours and conclude it was not worth the sacrifice for people like you.

Excellent. In my opinion we should support and be very proud of our armed forces. It is bizarre that so many people are convinced by the loony left arguments that terrorists are nice people really.

already voiced his opinion in another thread .. i don't think he likes the fact that Forces personnel and emergency services staff deserve any form of thanks or recognition for the sacrifice they give ....

Without the armed forces, you could not freely express that opinion.

Entitled to his opinion I guess, even though I don't agree with it.
Much respect to these guys can't say it's something I would/could do, even moreso with the current state of the world!

It's a career they chose, like everyone else. If you do it for the forces then do it for all public servants. Teachers get nothing

unfortunately they are seen as enforcers of the UK's misguided foreign policy.

im ex army & ex police Im 62 now & I know nor never served with anyone that enjoyed war I also believe that trident is an abhorrent waste of money I also think that people like mr Corbyn who were prepared to commit to dialogue with the POLITICAL wings of "terror" organisations were and have saved lives. In your eyes Im a member of the looney left but because people like me protected our country & communities your right to an opinion is protected. Finally for your imformation its not the looney left that has closed all the airfields & nigh on every base in the former BAOR nor sold our naval harriers for £10k each to the usa so leaving us with a carrier but no planes till probably 2020 nor left our army with more horses than tanks that has been done by messers Cameron & May so if indeed there are looneys out there they are in the tory party not the Labour !
