This May, Cassandra Clare returns with the latest instalment in The Dark Artifices, a sequel series to the best-selling Mortal Instruments.
To celebrate, we’re gifting listeners a free copy of the highly-rated first book. Praised as ‘incredible’ and ‘a great spin off’ by members, Lady Midnight begins five years after the events of City of Heavenly Fire brought the Shadowhunters to the brink of oblivion. Emma Carstairs is no longer a child in mourning but a young woman bent on discovering what killed her parents and avenging her losses. Together with her parabatai, Julian Blackthorn, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches across Los Angeles. If only her heart didn't lead her in treacherous directions....

Yeah, I'm not sure why I'm stockpiling all these free audible books when I haven't even listened to the ones I've paid for.

cheers op.
started this today but couldn't get into in though.
I got about a hour into it but it felt a struggle.
I'm all for fantasy but I couldn't keep up with all the various fantasy character types being mentioned.
But also the narrator didn't suit it with her American accent I felt.
