but you pay more than you should why would you do that, the market has changed, in recent years and things are much improved, if you could save a £100 or even more why would you stop with them it just makes no sense. Any company can have problems, but paying over the odds is the worst thing any of us can do and allows companies to get away with it. I change my supply every year, had an issue only once and have changed recently three times this year to get a better deal and a new meter no issues at all, ensure meter readings are sent and check your bills. If something goes wrong escalate it to the companys CEO emails are all online and issues with any company are then sorted in minutes normally. We are all on this site to save money, just please make sure you do it with utilities and also don't fall for the collective switches being the cheapest, they really aren't always, even MSE.

Thanks just worked for me... Does everyone get their monthly email of rewards?! In the past I have had a free canvas print, posh chocolates and last month entered a competition and won £50 of nectar points... Happy days!

Or maybe they could just bring their prices down?
No, no - a free movie is much better. That's the one. Thanks British Gas.

No, they're not - but this "deal" is designed to make you feel good about the company, and it seems to be working.

What does, just for getting the code or making an online account? Because when I made an account a few years ago I was automatically opted out of paper bills and had to ring up to receive them again because I prefer them. So will I have to ring up again?

I was with BG on the MSE collective and only paid £57 a month for dual fuel in a 4 bed house. Had to move in early March to Eon due to price rise but with BG I bagged a free bottle of prosecco, a free canvas, free chocolates that i am still waiting on delivery and now this

The chocolates are just a small box of hotel chocolat samples but will still be delivered after 1st May... As I received email today about them having hazelnut praline in them even though the box only states may contain nut traces! I have dual fuel and receive a monthly email with these rewards around the 3rd of each month - it's worth checking your mail as some of the offers for example the canvas was for the first so many customers to reply!

The code works! It adds a credit to your account, so I'm wondering: has anyone tried using it on a cheaper DVD or rental and thus being able to get more than one movie?

28 Apr 17#27
FYI, the voucher goes into your account as £13.99 credit, so you can use it to rent multiple movies rather than buy one.

Got my chocs last week: only 80g in total, but very tasty. No praline ones in my box though, which is a shame, as I love praline.
Have also had the canvas print, there was another, bigger box of Hotel Chocolat choccies once as well, plus other stuff I can't remember now - and I'm on the MSE tariff which was the cheapest deal, so I'm not paying for these "freebies" with higher bills, as some people seem to think.
Thanks OP for pointing out the offer; my code arrived earlier and now I just need to decide what to buy

Just a warning for anyone, I done this, activated the code on skystore.com then made the mistake of ordering it later on that night via my Sky Q box which added £13.99 to my bill rather than deduct it from the credit. I see it's in the first post now saying it can't be used in conjunction with box orders but the woman at sky said she had already had a few phone calls from people that assumed the same as I did
Quick phone call to sky in the morning sorted it out, got refunded £13.99 and they let me keep the £13.99 voucher so 2 movies for the price of 1 :-)

Code received and added to my account to the value of £13.99. Ordered Dr Strange and it's already been downloaded to watch under 'Purchased' on my Sky box. DVD will apparently be sent within 5 days of it being released. Didn't cost me a penny so very happy!

Just a tip if anyone is in the process of moving home - check if you can register for Rewards on both addresses, I did and I got 2 codes from my dad's account. On my own account, the old address was marked as "closed" so I could only use my current address. Still, £41.97 of skystore credit for free. what a deal

I saw the deal on mse and jumped on my account about 3 would think it would be fairly automated I had the email welcoming me to the new rewards. Will keep checking, would think a sorry email would get sent to those that missed out. I missed out on one of the old nectar rewards as they had ran out about 2 hours after I got an email.

Hi Neo, what department did you speak to? i went through to the Buy & Keep team and they said there was nothing they could do as the T&C's clearly state you have to purchase through the website.
Neo1607
9 May 17#82
I phoned up that department as well and got told the same, told the woman she wasn't helpful in the slightest. Put the phone down and called cancellations, Told the woman that it was a blatant loophole to charge customers extra the woman agreed with me and she said that the woman in the buy and keep team should not have told me that as it's basically them saying "tough ****". She said there was no way they wanted to lose me as a customer over a stupid thing like £13.99 and had no issue in giving me a full refund

Requested the code (and joined MyRewards) on 28th April but didn't receive the actual code until the 9th May, so you might have to wait longer than their stated 5 days. Purchased Passengers (was fairly good actually!), DVD will be delivered by the 25th.

Got my code when this was first posted, thanks OP! Went on the bg website to check my bill this week and the option to join rewards was there again... Opted in and got sent a second code that I've just used! Could be worth having a check if you're with bg to try and get another. Don't know what difference it makes but I used a laptop to go onto bg website, not the mobile page x

Nice one! Didn't have that in ours. Been pondering what to get... something you've seen, but then you've seen it... if you've not, maybe it's poopy.
Anyone know if the £13.99 voucher can only be used on one purchase, or if you got two for £6 (not saying that's possible... just want to know for now) if you get both free?

can be used on two, its just credit - i think on page 2 of the comments someone did exactly this

Make sure you buy the movie online and not through your box or you will end up paying £14 for a DVD you could get for £7 on ebay.
