WHAT IS SALT THERAPY
Salt Therapy aka Halotherapy is a powerful, natural treatment in a controlled air medium that simulates the natural salt cave microclimate to treat respiratory and skin conditions. This is no health fad – from the ancient Greeks to modern-day doctors, medical experts have championed its amazing effects.
WHAT IS THE SALT CAVE
The Salt Cave is a chain of clinics providing 100% natural, effective, risk-free Salt Therapy treatments. Visitors merely sit back in one of our treatment rooms, where the healing micro-climate of a natural salt cave is reproduced by the most advanced device called Breeze Tronic Pro. This technology is used ONLY by The Salt Cave franchise in the United Kingdom.

I've been to these salt cave sessions, it did help me with my chest and some eczema I got mine off groupon but they gave me an extra session free too :innocent:

If it is so good, and I have no doubt that it genuinely is, why is it the sole franchise in the UK? There are plenty of disused salt mines near here.

If you like it... groupon is currently doing 1 session for £9 or two sessions for £18! For new and existing customers
Generally if they have to state 'This is no health fad` then it clearly is one.
Much like 'this is definitely not a pyramid scheme' and `this is a proven homeopathic remedy '

I was going to try this but then I remembered that I really don't enjoy being near people that cough, phlegm and wheeze. I like being near them even less when trapped in a "cave". However, have voted hot objectively.

I have tried such so called 'con' treatments abroad. All the treatments mentioned in the article are wonderful, relaxing, stress relieving experiences. Person who wrote this article clearly has not had a similar spa experience, but since I have tried now myself, will always be a customer of those.

I bought a groupon for me and a friend. When we turned up for our first visit we were told we could have the first session for free; so we did and then returned a few weeks later and used our groupon.
Its great, definitely recommend to anyone suffering... its not a instant cure but after now having a few visits I can definitely say it helps!

The Independent doesn't seem too convinced (although I suppose there is an element of clickbait in play given that they are online-only these days):
