I don't know much about prison inmates but I doubt any of them will be studying. If they do, it will be a very small number.
I am not a fan of self learning so I think it is very difficult to do distance learning through the open university unless you have a lot of self discipline.
I would be interested to know if employers value open university degrees when it comes to employing graduates. I have never worked with anyone who is a graduate from the open university.
