Battlepacks, almost as useless as warbonds :man:

I agree 100%. Battlepacks are worthless now. Couldn't care less about weapon skins as no one is ever going to look at your gun. Surely EA and Dice need to do what they did in BF4 and add different specialities for different weapons.

Hmm having played BF4 for 800 hours I liked the grind to collect all attachments for every gun. Is this not the case for BF1? I thought this was a big factor that set BF series apart from the certain other FPS titles?

I agree with you; the grind to get your new weapon and its attachments was an excellent incentive to adapt your playstyle. In BF1 you eventually get about 5 or 6 main weapons per class, and each has about 3 fixed variations so one may be better hip fire, another has a scope, that sort of thing.
Battlepacks now only unlock weapon skins. You unlock the new weapons/variants by spending warbonds (xp from levelling up). I usually play Engineer class in BF, the BF1 analogue for it being the Assault class, and I really only run one gun, Automatico Storm. the other Automatico variants are horrible by comparison and the difference is artificially huge between them. Occasionally for some variety I'll try another weapon but it's not really fun doing so. In BF3 and BF4 I could use practically every gun effectively if I got the right attachments as their impact was so nuanced.

And to add to my previous post after ranking up to level 10 on your class even to top weapons aren't that great either. A lot of work for little gain.

Thanks for the description. I think ill be picking it up to be honest, I used to play every class situation dependant on BF4 so I guess ill get my fav setup on each one and use that as a weapon switcher. It is a shame tho. Once I got all attachments etc I then got each gun above 1000 kills that was fun too. I guess ill find other ways to grind. 1000 kills on horseback or something :P
