Cheers, I'd almost forgotten about this! Must've been a good few months since the last batch were made available.

you can download portable, reusable installers. While you shouldn't handle them to others (even though one could make some sort of argument for lending a game), it means that you don't have to rely on steam to install games, meaning that during steam downtime, or in a offline situation you can still play if you don't have the games preinstalled. In terms of the platform itself, the gog model is much closer to having a physical copy of the game than steam, where valve acts as a gatekeeper to what you bought.

There's no legal advantage at all. Steam will allow you to install a game on one or more computers, you own yourself. So will GOG. Just because a game is DRM free, doesn't mean you can legally start handing it out to others. In the case of GOG games, you can't unless it states you can. GOG has very few freeware games.

it does look like a good game though - I remember a demo about 100 years ago.

There are a few games which give you option of gifting a serial key to a buddy. Go to your game in GOG account, click more and serial keys. In case of this batch of GOG Connect it's both Frozen games.

Ages ago there was this promotion for Witcher 1 and 2 and you could get em DRM free from GOG if you had the steam key, so essentially I just got 3 copies of the Witcher 1 and 2

Only entitled to one of those games (Metro 2033 Redux) as most of the others never appealed enough to purchase. So, good deal for some and no deal for others. Should I vote hot or cold?

I only was applied with hunnepop. Other than that, it's a good set of recruiting freebies ^_^

Only one of the most classic adventure games of all time, with beautiful music, great voice acting, brilliant storyline, great animation (at time of release in 1996) and lovely hand drawn backgrounds. All this and it was made up in York.
But hey it didn't have the words "monkey" or "island" in it so it must be crap, right? :smirk:
