Developer Red Barrels has confirmed the Outlast 2 demo will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam players for free beginning today. However, it will only be available to download for a short time.
Thanks, I did put the link in the "get deal" tab for Xbox one, but hukd seems to have messed it up

Omg I'm on the same part, you got to start some generator thing and hide in a locker right?

I remember that bit lol. First night I got this game on Ps+ I clocked it, absolutely loved it. Just make sure to hide from the bad guy, you'll find the switches to turn on

Why so sassy when it's only a demo? Isn't the whole point of being a demo is so that everyone can have a taste of your game thus increasing the chance they will buy it later?
I missed the CD we get from magazines back in the old days that were chock full of these and sharewares...

Ps1 was the gem for demos in mags for CDs. I spent so much time in the demos then, always replaying them, but now, bar a few exceptions, I run through it once and delete. It's not the same without that "special disk" - oh how times have moved on:|

Thing is, as kids or even young adults (for me at least and I'm sure many others) you simply didn't have the access to new games all the time. If you wanted a game you have to stump up the £40-50 for a new physical copy, my parents were generous but I think I was lucky if I received more than 1 a month. There simply wasn't that cheap, digital catalogue of games to flick to whenever you wanted a new buzz. So demo disks gave you that excitement of new games. You'd play them over and over again, in fact to such an extent half the time you'd never actually bother buying the full game. I remember playing the level of Syphon Fikter and Medieval to death, at least 50-100 times. It's been 20+ years and I can still remember the bank layout and the positions of the enemies on the rooftops, nailing them with the taser. Kids just don't have that anymore. They're lucky in a way and desperately unlucky in another.

Thanks for stopping by however.
This game needs to crawl back into whichever hole it came from. Once again scared of my own shadow
