All London boroughs need to reduce the cost of disposable nappy waste. The following boroughs have chosen to join the Real Nappies for London voucher scheme. This scheme helps London parents find out about alternatives to disposable nappies and offers residents, with a baby under 18 months, a voucher (one per baby) to help with the cost of buying their first set of reusable nappies.

Yup, those were the days. 1960's/70's; I would help clean, bathe and change my younger brothers and sisters with my mouth holding large safety pins and a pile of freshly laundered terries on the table (some of which were hand-me-downs, bought by my grandmother when my mother, aunt and uncle were infants in the mid 20's/30's and are still in use today by my younger sister who recently had her third). Like ma and grandma, my sister has added the names of her kids in silk embroidery alongside her siblings and grandma's. Thus a few of the surviving terries carry the names and birth dates of three generations. Back then, manufacturers made stuff that lasted.
