Free Santander Cycles in London this weekend to celebrate our sixth anniversary!
To celebrate six years of helping people discover London by bike, Santander along with Transport for London (TfL) are making Santander Cycles free to use for the weekend of August 13 and 14.
For the first time a code will be publicised which, when entered into the Santander Cycles app or docking station terminal, will provide free access to the cycles with all journeys up to 30 minutes completely free. The code will be valid from 00:00 on Saturday August 13 to 23:59 on Sunday August 14.
Make sure to use the code “FREE2016” when you hire a Cycle – feel free to share the code with all your friends and family!
Santander Cycles has also been hosting spinning classes across the Capital this summer, putting an extra twist on cycling for leisure. The final series of classes will be held at The Scoop at the London Bridge Festival from 17-20 August. No registration is required and classes are free. For more information visit www.santander.co.uk/cycles.

I thought the first 30 mins were free anyway? Is the code for the £2 24hr fee perhaps?

You are right.
It seems the £2 24hr fee is waived but unlimited free 30 mins rides.

We saw lots of these bikes being used on the recent naked bike ride. Remember your antiseptic wipes and good luck !!

this santander cycle service seems scam to me. there is a part mistake from my side too. took 3 bikes thinking 2 quid for 24 hrs next day i was charged 24 extra. 2 is just for taking bike out and cost 2 per hr after 30 min. we used it for 3 hrs. not impressed with this service though.
