I was checking the offers available at the moment on my Chromecast and noticed there's currently 2 months free Spotify for new subscribers.
The link posted seems to work without having to go through the Chromecast and so anyone should be able to get it.
I had previously had a trial and so I did have to set up a new account for it to work.

Just to add, after trying to claim this offer by logging into my original account, I did receive an email from Spotify after a couple of days for another free 30 day trial! Fingers crossed I'd be able to use this after too!

Hi Jez777, I think it's on both as I have both and seem to remember seeing it twice. But if you use the link above you should be able to get it even without using a Chromecast. :smiley:

just coming to the end of a 3 month trial for a quid from spotify so this'll do nicely. that'll be 8 months of premium rate music, with this and apple music, for a total of a quid this year :smiley:

hhmmmm .. doesn't seem to want to let me do it. cleared cookies e.t.c.. and tried signing up a new account but if you try using paypal as a method of payment, it just keeps going round and round in circles asking me to log in each time and if i enter a card that i've previously used, it dumps me back out saying "looks like you've already taken this offer before" .. (which i clearly have :smiley:)
i suppose it's looking to take an authorisation payment from paypal so maybe if i stick a quid in my account it might work ..

Managed to get the link working for me but for some reason had to use a London based VPN. As for varying information, change of email address and username worked for me. Tip with email if you have a google account. - as an example - [email protected] & [email protected] - note the period sign are one and the same emil and come back to your account, but spotify sees them as a different email address.

As flyfishermedic mentioned, give that a go and if it doesn't work for you, try adding a new card too. If you only have one bank card, try installing an app like Revolt to get around it.

Btw if you use arriva bus free Wi-Fi to stream spotify or YouTube, you now have to use a vpn as arriva must of recently blocked streaming, I use from play store " cloud vpn" it's free.

To get round it, I didn't think about using a VPN at the time, instead I just used an email account I hadn't used before and also just used my Revolt card for new payment details (just in case you didn't know, Revolt is a free app that you can load with some credit and then just use it straight away to make online purchases. There are other ones, but that's the one I've been using. You can also get a physical card for free to use in shops).
Seemed to go through once I entered the new payment details.
