With the Xbox One S Console, there is no plug to connect the Kinect to, so this freebie is awesome.
To claim, register the serial number of both the Xbox One Console and the Xbox One S console, as well as the Xbox One Kinect and check back when the Xbox One S Console is released later this year.

so you can't use kinect till the adapter arrives. that's a bit silly. if u order xbox s with Ms they should allow you to put ur xbox and kinect details in the ship with your s.

Not going to buy an S and will wait for its big brother next year. That will make my one 4 years old and up for replacement - fan is already getting noisey

Does it matter? For the sake of waiting a few days I'm sure people won't mind & also the fact that MS is offering the adapter for free is cool, could easily do the opposite.
