I keep getting sent back to the login page each time I click the install button, only to be told the URL doesn't exist. Annoying.

Fire up Steam and search for Elite Dangerous Arena. Click Install.
Success!
Elite Dangerous: Arena is now registered to your account on Steam.
To access your new content, simply launch this product from your Library on Steam.

i got it and installed ok but keep getting a new email authentication code with no actual logon, each time i try to log in to the elite account via steam

My links to view the deal itself are currently blocked or I'd search myself. But from memory is this the cut down version of Elite Dangerous? You do the dog-fighting, but not the long distance exploring / trading etc.

I play ED:H - the Arena is a short intense arena "deathmatch" - limited options but as you progress some upgrades become available - only the rating and credits can be used the full game and Arena is a separate module - but if you want 10-15 mins mayhem - free for all - capture the flag or team v team - similar to Moon Breakers this fits the bill.
