*Access to the records in the featured collections will be free from 30 June at 7.59pm until 4 July at 11.59pm, BST. To view these records you will need to register for free with Ancestry.co.uk with your name and email address. We will then send you a username and password to access the records. After the free access period ends, you will only be able to view the records in the featured collections using an Ancestry.co.uk paid membership.

Thanks, but I logged on with my previous free trial account, I could access the military records without taking out another trial. Found what I wanted, though too scanty details.

The records are scanty and few for WW2, so I wouldn't pay subscription for this, as I was disappointed finding just one record, I read on their web site (Ancestry) this subsequently, user may be disappointed to find the limited availability of equivalent service records for World War II. The reason being that the records of Britain’s Army, Navy and Air Force are still classified documents held by the Ministry of Defence.
