The B&Q at Filton near Bristol is currently shutting down and has a lot of Rock Salt being given away. All you have to do is present the bags at the till and they scan at 0p. Not much good this time of year but doesn't go off so good to go next year.

Do you know if there were any other bargains in store as I'm local and might pop in if there's a clearance sale?

There are quite a few deals, but, B&Q is normally quite expensive even with discounts. They have a most stuff 10% off, and a lot of stuff 30% off. They have laminate floor oddment boxes at a £1, worth a look around to fish out the bargains

Knowing Bristol folk, they'll probably use it on their chips...

I once bought a Drain Pump, similar to a balloon pump but for clearing blocked sinks, it had a slight defect on one of the plastic parts that was quite distinctive, whoever had made the molds for that particular part had duplicated the slight defect so that it was the same on all of the pumps. Great sink drain clearer, even better that it only cost a Quid from Pound land.
I was in BQ a few weeks later and saw the same pump in a different coloured plastic, exactly the same defect.
BQ`s were charging £9.99, that why so many of them closed down a few years ago, the in-store TRADE POINT has helped their sales figures, but they are still very expensive for most of the items they sell and in some cases Daylight Robbery.

Isn't that the whole point of this website? We share information on good deals.

paneds mocmocamoc does have a point mocmocamoc was asking in reference to if some one has been to the store other than OP or even OP already and seen a bargain worth sharing for others to see and DellBoy has already been kind enough and posted some items!!
It's not being lazy maybe mocmocamoc doesn't want salt but might go if there is any thing else worth going their for. How do yo know mocmocamoc has just an hour or so slot from his work to make a quick visit and grab what he wants.
if it worth posting like OP has and people local to Filton B&Q near Bristol will now know to visit the store and go straight to the salt and get them for 0p and stock them for what ever purpose they intend to use it for. Other wise who would have thought of going to the Filton B&Q branch and think you know what I will go and pick a bag or two of salt in case it is free.... I don't even know why OP went but he did because he is DelBoy and was going to wheel and deal with a bag of salt.
I could go on but thought of sparing your brain it might be acking by now
or tell me if you want me to go on I will!!!!
