You need an O2 simcard as they text you a verification code, however the simc ard can be obtained free on their website and it doesn't need to be topped up

It does if you think that 12pm is noon. However PM stands for Post Meridiem which is Latin for 'after noon', so 12pm is twelve hours after noon! But I know that others may have different takes on that.
