To celebrate the release of The Lobster on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital on 8th Feb we have a limited number of tickets for some exclusive screenings at selected Picturehouse Cinemas.
Hilarious and utterly unmissable, THE LOBSTER is a darkly funny love story set in a near future where finding love is a matter of life or death…
According to the rules of The City, single people are arrested and then transferred to The Hotel. There they are obliged to find a matching mate in 45 days. If they fail, they are transformed into an animal of their choosing and released into The Woods. A desperate man (Colin Farrell) escapes from The Hotel to The Woods where The Loners live and falls in love, although it is against their rules. Featuring and outstanding cast, THE LOBSTER is one of the must-see films of the year.

'Black' comedy does mean dark comedy, it doesn't mean a comedy featuring black people!!!
(In the same way that in London 'Black cab', doesn't mean a cab driven by a black person - the term refers to the traditional Hackney carriage.)

no, if you don't live in the uk not much chance, if you do not meet the age requirement for the film certification and if you do not have a smart phone or printer these are just a few reasons a person might not be able to get this offer, but I am sure anybody could apply therefore wasting tickets for those who might want to go?

On a scale from one to ten weird, this is an 11. I'm not sure this could or should be confused with comedy.

Quite. Totally weird and a bit up itself. I wouldnt say it was funny either.
Screened in Competition at Cannes 2015 where it won the Jury Prize, The Lobster is the English-language debut of director Yorgos Lanthimos, known chiefly for his astonishing Dogtooth (2009) which kickstarted the Greek ‘weird wave’.

why does it state on here it's at 8.30 but on the printout says 9?
steevieboy4u to Qasim7
4 Feb 16#32
Because it actually starts at 9pm, you need to get there at 8.30pm to ensure you get in as its first come first served and if its a popular film you'll be lucky to get a seat

Nice to see so many locations, especially in London, still available across all the codes.
But maybe because this isn't a new film and there have been a number of screenings already in the past.

Indeed,I've just received an email :
Admin Charge
We’ve had so much positive feedback from our members on events to date that we are keen to develop more. However, resourcing this is expensive as we do not receive any fees for this service. Consequently, we are going to start charging an administration fee for such events - it will be minimal, usually £1 per ticket – and please note that this admin fee will not apply to FILM promotions.

Who ever saw this film, I found this film a bit eerie weird satirical. I am afraid I might end up in one of these institutions. If I do I would want to be a Elephant so that I can crush those two idiots who came up with such a ludricuous idea....
