How do you get free ice cream?
To get your free cone, first go online to find your nearest participating store – you’ll need to enter your postcode and tick the ‘Participate Free Cone Day’ box. Some concession stands in cinemas are participating, so if you don’t think there’s a Ben & Jerry’s store near you, it’s still worth checking if your local Odeon or Vue cinema is offering free cones.
Once you’ve found a participating store, all you need to do is turn up between 12pm and 8pm and ask for your free cone. It’s one scoop per cone (norm £2.95), and you can choose any flavour. It’s likely there’ll be long queues so either get there early, or be prepared to wait a while for your freebie.
Ben & Jerry’s says there’s no limit to the number of free cones you can get, but you will have to join the queue again if you’re after a second one. Please eat responsibly.

Thanks - Last time I went the queues were fine. Only a couple of people ahead each time (I went to two in London)

Ben & Jerry's will update their event details closer to the day and I will also update this post accordingly. This is a provisional reminder for everyone, I know many people who miss out of this event. :smiley:

Why on earth are you posting this 2 months prior to the event? Are hotel rooms near the free cone venues filling up fast?

Mainly to let everyone know in advance when the event is, often people find out to late on the day or past the event. Great to put a reminder on or create a calendar event. :smiley:

Two options
1) Go there now and stay there no matter what!!
2) Put a reminder in your smartphone/laptop/PC/Alarm Clock/Fridge/inner of Front Door.
and
Take the required amount of this picture and stick them to the floor leading to the door and write on it Must Remember to line up for B&J Ice-cream on 12th Apr 2016.
Now you should have no excuses!!!!

Also bear in mind that some places ask for a charity donation. Not mandatory obvs but some might feel embarrassed when asked
