You can already check your car's MOT history on the official GOV website.
i sold my high mileage focus 189000 miles and the next mot it had lost 80000 miles. trading standards told me it had been clocked after i sold it. but who tells the buyers

Is there any recourse to this, would you be able to take it up with the seller in this situation, what would one be able to do

Seems to work well on my cars. Even has basic details on one the .Gov site keeps saying doesn't exist.
Okay so you have to pay for a few bits if you want them, not everything in life is free.

useful to see the history of the mots for free and the finance and write off checks seem a good price..
just checked my car which i have owned for 8 years and mot and mileage details are spot on.

Not bad, but you have to pay for the two most important pieces of info.....if finance is owed or if it's been a write off. Still a good basic free check though.

Vehicle Age
7 years 11 months
It's 12years old and says the average mileage should be 89k  I thought the average was 10-12k per year.
