total car check now gives the complete history of the mots and mileage of cars and if it has been reported stolen or exported. were and when the car was registered.

this is a basic free check if your happy with what you see you should still buy a finance check

Not bad, but you have to pay for the two most important pieces of info.....if finance is owed or if it's been a write off. Still a good basic free check though.

useful to see the history of the mots for free and the finance and write off checks seem a good price..

just checked my car which i have owned for 8 years and mot and mileage details are spot on.

Seems to work well on my cars. Even has basic details on one the .Gov site keeps saying doesn't exist.

Okay so you have to pay for a few bits if you want them, not everything in life is free.

Yes been using http://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history for a while but the other is more colourful unless you colour blind of course :smiley:

never seen "mileage notes" on MOTs before, my daily driver is apparently high for its age.

It's 12years old and says the average mileage should be 89k :neutral_face: I thought the average was 10-12k per year.

i sold my high mileage focus 189000 miles and the next mot it had lost 80000 miles. trading standards told me it had been clocked after i sold it. but who tells the buyers
