Mostly common sense stuff, but as we see every time there's a flake or two of snow, most people are lacking in common sense!

Looks like a good resource overall, heat added, but be aware that one of the tips about getting help advises you to enter the code *3370# on your mobile phone to restart the phone with an additional 50% battery life. This sounded pretty far-fetched, so I looked it up on Snopes and found the following:
Therefore, I wouldn't take everything in the guide as absolute gospel.

I must admit, I read that one and imagined a 1g/2g Nokia, not current 3g/4g smartphones but I suppose in an emergency situation (such as being stranded with a powerless phone) you may want to try every option available whether it works or not.

Except, as Snopes reports, *3370# does nearly the opposite of what the survival guide claims. It will decrease battery life.
A more useful tip would be to turn off the phone and then warm it next to your skin, under your clothes, for fifteen minutes before turning it back on. Warm batteries keep going longer than cold ones.

Lol talk about technology getting in the way / having the opposite affect - I couldn't see thefoz's Snopes quote until I switched from the HUKD app to the Web page!

No wonder they are giving it away free - it's a guide to surviving winter 2014!

Call me a cynic , no please do. I don't need to read it to know I says buy de-icer, anti freeze, wiper blades, spare headlamps, new tyres, oil, a full service by Halfords and an mot if it needs one or not, a blanket, first aid kit, food for 3weeks, flares, rac or aa memberships pending on which one is selling in the store, and a bicycle and bike rack, just in case the car catches fire or disintegrates from all the fog and snow !!!! If you need this guide you really should not be driving ! ahhh that feels better
