Yep gives you the actual score and graph etc

Nice! Is this done through the Barclaycard web portal or direct with Experian?

Direct through Barclaycard - you login as normal go to the 'Transfers and Offers' at the top of the page then click the 'Experian Credit Score'

I believe it then automatically updates your score/graph every month until you 'cancel' the request - all at no cost.

Update - It updates every 60 days and plots any change on the graph.

Yeah I saw this when I paid my bills before the weekend, will check back to see if it's come through yet.

You can get £5 cashback, for taking a free trail of this via Quidco. I did it a few months back, just need to remember to cancel the trail after a month, which was no problem to do just a phone call, no hassle.

I have a barclays account and a debit card but not a credit card which I assume barclatcard is, can I still do this?

Good news, I currently pay £14.99 per month for my Experian and I have a Barclaycard so will try and cancel today.

Tried a couple of times over the past week or so, hasn't worked for me at all yet.

the point I was getting at is a credit score is a credit score, whether you pay for it or not, the data they use is all largely the same, and banks use their own metrics anyway, so the score you get from one will by and large be the same as from another, it is just a good indicator

There is another free credit checking website - clearscore

unlike you, who seems to have an inordinate amount of time on your hands

still, if "reputation" on a website amongst your virtual friends is what's important to you, then so be it :laughing:

at least you saw sense and agreed with the point I was making though

I don't know if they still offer it for new customers, but I get access to Experian's credit monitoring service with my capital one card.

The banks do use their own criteria but the phrase "a credit score is a credit score" doesn't chime with the weird credit world I'm sorry to say.

i dont care about reputation on here, check out my deals, i post hot and very cold ratings, usually around things a like or do, it takes as long to post a deal as it does to make a comment.

Another free credit checking website is http://www.clearscore.com I have done it myself. There's no trial. You don't even need to put your card details

I do love Experian's set of morals : steal your personal data without your express consent, then demand a ransom to see it again. I'm sure there's this gang in Romania doing a similar thing with these phishing e-mails - but at least they're um...'legit' criminals.
