This is a clone of the Merkur Futur adjustable double edge razor. Copyright ran out on these a few years back so anyone can churn out their own version.
I've got various new and vintage razors (some dating back to the early 1900s) and I'm really pleased with the quality of this for a few quid.
Chuck the blades that come with it and grab a sample pack from eBay or the highly recommended Connaught Shaving (and maybe get a brush and some soap while you're there). Check out some videos on double edge shaving techniques online and do away with those costly multiblade cartridges. (Not to mention the problem where the first blade lifts and the next cuts, meaning the hair drops back below your skin, the hole heals up, and you get ingrowing hairs).
Never heard of it and I used to frequent a shaving forum. Having looked it up all I can say is "user error" (either in your lifestyle, hygiene or shaving technique).

It's a strange one as impetigo generally affects children more than adults, I'd also worry if you're a child and already needing to shave.

Heat from me for the price but having been DE shaving for a few years now I would pay a bit more (£20-£30) for a genuine DE shaver, after all it will last a lifetime.....

What if Apple made the razor and blades / How much would it cost and sell for?

The original Mekur one was a terrible shave, so add the Chinese corner cutting and supposed monkey metal and I'll pass thanks....
Damn sexy design though, if they took PayPal I'd gamble.... but not giving up my cc details :-(
Its a market place, not a store... of course it can be dodgy !

How so? It's aliexpress that have your card details, they don't pass them on to the merchants. Also the money is held in escrow until you tell them you've received the item.

Yeah cos AliExpress is a shady, unknown website to give your cc details to :joy:

Good reviews though!
Original was lovely to look at but when it came to actual shaving. Found the head was far too large - and getting the head clip off when changing the blade ....
Wouldn't mind one of the stands though

Interesting point about removing the head. When twisting the adjustment wheel with wet hands my thumb slipped across the blade. It wasn't a bad cut but enough that I make sure to adjust with dry hands or hold it with a towel. So whilst I haven't changed the blade with wet hands, I am mindful about avoiding doing so

The stands are really good. They fit this razor but not the handle of an original futur. If anyone is interested I will measure the ID of the stand. There's also a hole in the bottom to drain out.

Bought a couple of the qshave variant of this a few months ago. I have been de shaving for about 2 years and use a Gillette daily. These are very aggressive for me even on setting 1. I only use it occasionally when I have plenty of time. They do shave close but i think it doesn't suit my skin. YMMV.

Yep- blade changing is definately clunky compared to the simple twist method of the Gillette's (ie the Fatboy) from 50s/early 60s

I have recently received a Qshave version of this (probably the same anyway) and an original futur. The build quality on the Chinese version is poor. The parts of the head that should be there for blade alignment such as the centre block and the tabs at the end allow for excessive play. The edge of the removable plate are not straight and this leads to a curved blade as viewed along the edge/along the cutting edge. I managed a very good shave with it but I bought two the other is for a gift as part of a full DE kit but I think that the Qshave is too unrefined to give unless it is used on the lowest setting and where is the fun in that?
I've shaved today with the futur on setting 6 with complete confidence and blade symmetry to result in a BBS.
Anyone concerned with cuts while adjusting just grip the handle and turn the head using the gap between your thumbnail and thumb against the edge of the guard.

Tried the Qshave again this evening and not impressed. The blade location is asymmetrical which for a razor is not good at all. I'm going to maybe do some fettling and keep it in my wash bag for when I'm away with work although it's most likely going in the bin. Ok also bin the one I bought as a gift and just get a Wilkinson sword classic to see if my bro will get on with DE shaving.
These razors have plenty of positive reviews on YouTube etc. so maybe I had a duff one but as the old adage says you get what you pay for.
