I honestly can't believe they're still selling for around this price. There's been far better deals around lately.

So we expect better deals when the new xbox comes out in November, so many offers out at the moment

doubt it, by the time the x is out the one s at the prices they are going for now will still be a decent Christmas buy for a lot of people.
cant see them dropping any further when you take in to account the bundles at the moment make the actual console itself about £130

I got the Minecraft bundle for the kids on Sunday from Smyths. Came with extra controller and 3 months live along with FIFA 18. £230. Sold FIFA 18 for £40 the same day making it £190 for Minecraft bundle and 2 controllers . Was that a good deal as I haven’t bothered with games for ten years

I'm voting cold the fact these machines take forever to install games and doing updates is a joke. Xbox no longer have alot of exclusive games which also don't help matters either. It's a shame as I loved my 360 right now the most fun I'm having is on the switch. If you want a good games machine I would save an extra 75 and get a switch or go get a PS4

I've just bought my first ever console, the xbox one, and I was surprised how long it took to install the first game Doom from disk and updates. Took well over an hour. I just assumed the games would install super quickly.

Hi ther obwan. I think you’ve loaded your game incorrectly and youve not installed your game but instead you’ve copied it from the media disc to your consoles hard drive, which is why it took so long. You’ve done what you would have done with an old Commodore 64 or Amstrad and ‘loaded’ the game. You don’t need to install each game, they play from the disc that’s loaded Hope that makes sense to you. The Xbox is actually incredibly fast at doing things, once you’ve got your settings correct. Enjoy.

Not all games are the size of Doom (inc the big update you mention) - once it's installed you're away. Leave games installing overnight and set your console to Instant-on so you never have to wait for an update again.
Opening post
Xbox one S (supports HDR 4K) including controller with Forza horizon 3 + hot wheels add-on and FIFA 18 for £199.99.
You also get 14 days free Xbox live voucher and 1 month Xbox game pass.

The Curry's deals are far better (yes might struggle for stock in the odd place)
Also, doesn't include Hotwheels pack
