Great price if you are after an Android tellybox. 2GB as well, which should help with HD / 4K content, and keep your chosen media player running smoothly

No idea about Amazon Video, think it only works on Amazon approved devices?

Amazon Prime Video is in the Google Play store. If that doesn't work install Aptoide and download it from there. Works well on my Android box.
Voted hot.

I don't have much experience when it comes to android boxes but had anyone here used one of these as a torrent box?

Raspberry Pi's are pretty easy to set up for that.

Yeah you can't go wrong with a pi and more versatile to switch to other projects. I've got mine on OSMC with samba Nas and 2.5 TB HDD on three usbs

Hmm, ordered 2 of these Shishion V88 boxes (albeit the 1GB/8GB versions) from Banggood, one as an extra for me, and one for my dad.
Mine failed after an hour of use, my dads failed after a couple of week use. The replacement Banggood sent for mine lasted about 3 weeks.
All 3 would eventually not power up at all.
I already had a Beelink MXIII box which I've had for about 2 years now, and its still going strong.

You are not alone, I voted cold, the RAM is only 2gb in this box (actually not good for 3d or 4k!!) is not reliable and despite the price for what you get it is over-priced.

I wouldn't recommend this, or any other rockchip based, box but 2gb is plenty for 4k playback - even 512mb would be fine. The VPU does the video decoding and that isn't reliant on RAM.

Probably another make of box that suffers from the common overheating issue through poor or no ventilation.

gearbest. Can't create an account, no confirmation email, even resent it. I've sent them an email, nothing. Even tried facebook. The live chat does not work.

avoid this item. I had bought this in February and it lasted me 3 months. Gearbest refunded me.

Can somebody please advise if it's legal to use these boxes to watch TV?

If you have a TV licence you can watch live TV on these (using whatever app you prefer) and BBC iPlayer on-demand. If you have no TV licence you are not allowed to watch live television and no BBC iplayer either. Other on-demand services (4od etc.) are allowed

+1 for Beelink stuff. Support and the community are pretty sound too, assuming you run into difficulties...
Had an MXIII and a GT1 for a good couple of years now with no issue...
In comparison, my friends with these boxes, like others here have highlighted, have had no end of bother! Buy cheap, buy twice etc.

Just wondering, what sort of programmes do you guys watch on such boxes , now that Card sharing is shot? Maybe Kodi, but I hear Kodi is also hit and miss with the streams.
Anyone can elighten more on this please?
Thanks

Burned by Gearbest previously after one of these was dead on arrival, customer service department didn't reply to my messages on social media or "live" chat but eventually received response via E-Mail asking me to flash new firmware despite having tested board with a multimeter and discovering power regulator fault.
Had to log credit card dispute for partial refund, would advise against dealing with this merchant.

My Scishion V88 box also broke within a year (amlogic version). These seem to be poor quality. 2gb is fine for these though.
