Still more than I would pay for it.

You know fine the schedules are going to consist of 38 depressing episodes every day of Eastenders, Emmerdale, Coronation St, MIdsummer Murders, Strictly Xmas special, a few gameshows with ZZZZZZZZZZ list celebs, at least one James bond film and an Harry Potter season....all mixed in with exactly the same things as every other day. Well, an animated film on BBC1 at 3:10pm on the 25th to spice things up.

Very. Just make a note in your diary to cancel the direct debit before the next payment date. No need to contact Buy Subscriptions. Done this 3 times already. I suppose they just hope that many people will forget to cancel which is why they often do this offer.

No don't need to contact them. Yes they take your £1 direct debit at the start. They will then write to you about a month before your trial period ends to say they will take forty odd quid for the next X many issues on a certain date. Just make sure you cancel the dd before then. I think you can cancel the dd as soon as they have taken the £1 and you still get your 10 issues.

Can you cancel the Direct Debit immediately after your £1 has been taken?

Or do you have to wait until you've had the 10 magazines?

In my mind, I'm thinking "I'm paying £1 for 10 magazines. Even if I cancel before the first is delivered they still have to deliver the 10", but the cynical part of me reckons they wouldn't deliver anything after the sub was cancelled?

I've had many magazine subscriptions like this including Radio Times and I always cancel the Direct Debit as soon as the first magazine appears through my letterbox and the first payment has been taken. I've never not had the full amount of magazines delivered afterwards.

All done. Think this is the 4th year of doing it. Used same details as previously and no problem.
