168 days until spring... so £16 worth of golden syrup porridge should more or less see me through winter!

Got a feeling it will be a very bad winter. :disappointed:

I'm impressed with the Apple and Blueberry content in that variety - a stonking 1%.
Think I'll stick with old school porridge! (Heated the deal of course)

I may get a bashing from some people for this but I just don't understand why people buy these. Fair enough they come in portion sized sachets but all these are is oats and a bit of flavoring, nothing super special. You can buy a 1kg bag of porridge oats for less than £1, just put a hand full in to a bowl, add milk, put in microwave for 2 mins, add some honey or syrup and you have an identical product..but tastes nicer and at a tiny percentage of the cost of these expensive branded ones.
Yes I purchased a box of these the other week but was shocked when I read the ingredients on the box which are just Oats, flavoring and some weird agent the prevents them from boiling over in the microwave, if you have eyes you can do that yourself lol I'll never buy these again.

I cannot but agree. One way to stop the boiling over issue is to prepare the porridge and then leave it in the fridge overnight. That way the oats absorb some of the liquid.
