A lot of phone for the money but question marks over the quality of the brand. Battery is only 2000mAh so you may struggle to get a day's use out of it.

Shame about the battery. Even as a spare you want more than 2000mAh....

Oukitel are well known for loading phones with malware and hiding it in system apps. After I/we got stung by a brand I thought I trusted (Doogee, in this case) and having given the phone to my mum found random ads popping up, I scanned it and found infections in the Settings app and SystemUI. I’ve accepted that the low cost is subsidised by ad revenue, or even worse, personal data harvesting. She said she didn’t mind as she had nothing to hide but I don’t think that’s the point.

Anyone know of any cheap alternatives for an elderly father's first smartphone? Doesn't need to be highly specced, but a semi-decent battery and large clear screen would be a winner! Going to be used for quick snaps, whatsapp and phone calls, nothing else.

How long does it take for UK delivery? While I've no problems buying from China, my son's phone packed in so he needs one ASAP.
