Good price but time will tell how long it will be discounted as usual with LG's phones

Wait till next February then . Sure once Samsung S9 is out prices of this phone will go down.

Did you order? Not sure if getting the G6 is a better option at half the price

G6 is based on last year CPU . Snapdragon 821. Snapdragon 835 is much better. In Feb S9 will will come with Snapdragon 845 hopefully and be available for sale by April .

My only issue is that in America you can get the V30 on Verizon with a $200 gift card + Google Daydream headset included. I wish LG supported this promotion in the UK to make it more appealing

Tbh my lg5 performs exactly as fast as my s8 I don't think it makes much difference for ordinary folk

I'd be wary of LG's reliability after bootloops on the G4, G5, V10.

I've been waiting for this phone. But then the price announcement brought me down a bit. I lost my G5 recently and saw this phone was coming out. I need that quad DAC.
This deal would be much better for me if I could trade minutes/texts in for data.

Some people here keep on talking about 'wait till next phone comes out" and they've still got Orange San Francisco

Was eagerly waiting for this. Then saw the price and ordered Nokia 8 deal instead. Very similar spec with 835 CPU. Will do the job for less than half the price

I think the Nokia 8 is still a great deal. If you can tweak the camera to be a bit better, it's probably the best bang for buck deal you can get at the moment >

Depends what you want out of the phone. If you want a killer music player I've heard the Nokia 8 is average while the V30 is amazing. But I do really like the Nokia 8, Nokia seem to be keeping their word regarding security patches and updates and jerryrigeverything on YouTube shows it's very solidly built. A cheaper way to get pixel level support!

The main reason someone will buy this phone is to utilize the excellent camera, probably the best on a phone atm, having full manual control and been able to shoot log format video.
To my eyes, its a better deal than an iphone or samsung one at the same price.

One of the best things about the V30 is the built-in quad DAC. For those with high end IEMs like Sennheiser IE800, this is a great phone. Not sure how much better (if any) it'll sound than the G5 I had with the B&O DAC. Would be nice if someone had a comparison of them.

Is it such a big improvement over the V20? You can get the V20 for about £250.
I know there are a few improvements and upgrades, but I checked a few reviews, and some guys prefarred some of the V20 features that they have done away with now...

I think the V20 has the DAC also

This is crazy money for an LG (the G5 was rubbish, but the G6 looks an improvement)... The CEX price for the G6 is £300, so paying this much for the quad DAC is crazy.
I got my G5 from O2 (O2 Refresh deal) and will never again - they take their time releasing firmware updates which LG release monthly.

If the G6 at CEX is the UK/EU version it doesn't have the quad DAC. Quad DAC really is worth it. Music sounds bliss with some decent cans.
