That sounds well outside the usual delivery range unless is out of stock (pre orders for restocking) how long since actually posted?

There appears to be 2 versions of the 3S, as when it first came out it was plastic, but its now listed on Banggood as Metal, and I also asked on the aliexpress store and they said metal. Be worth checking with Gearbest that this is metal rather than plastic, in Aug they answered with plastic on gearbest..
Worth noting that this doesn't have dual band wifi, only b/g/n single band.

When I looked at this was Chinese windows anyone got a guide or link with info on how to put into English windows? Think be worth it even if have to buy a English Windows licence code.

Possibly with considerable difficulty.
A couple of years ago I bought a Windows tablet from China. When it arrived the UI was in English but it already had an account on it and some apps installed so I factory reset it.
The FR removed the English pack amd switched everything back to Chinese. Fortunately in my case a lot of Chinese characters carry the same meaning in Japanese so I was able to get through it but I think most people in the UK would really struggle.
I'm looking a cheap laptop for a 9 year old, but would it not be a nightmare returning this if something went wrong? Wouldn't be worth the risk?

Same here...I m looking for a computer for my 10 year old grandson. He starts at secondary school in September of next year. We have already asked the new school if they use windows, and they do. So I want to buy something to get him windows ready. Unfortunately, if this item goes wrong and has to be sent back to China, then that will be a nightmare and probably expensive too

Was looking at this also for my 10 year old daughter. I ended up buying a lenovo x230 i5 180gb ssd with it. It's small and portable and was in excellent condition for £180. I must say I am quite impressed with it. Very fast and she loves it. I don't no much about computers but hopefully someone can tell me if i made the better decision? Thanks

Jumper = Bigger Screen + higher resolution x230 = has ips screen too, don't know if the quality is any better Jumper = bigger SSD x230 still has a reasonable size SSD Jumper= slightly lighter, but not by much Jumper has 6gb of RAM (not sure what your x230 has? it might be 4mb but can be upgraded) x230 has a faster i5 CPU and much bettter GPU built into it (means its Faster at doing stuff + is better for Games and Video)- nethier are great for games, but the x230 would play some older 3D games much much better. Jumper you have to wait weeks for and you might need to pay customs.
I think you made a good decision, I have a different i5 thinkpad and I like it a lot.

£180 is a steal! The i5 is still going strong considering the age (i5 3rd gen) and it beats the laptop on this deal (Celerons aren't really known to be well fast) and the storage shouldn't be a problem in the x230 unless your daughter fills it up it'll be easy to upgrade the storage!

How many sweeping generalisations can we get into one thread? Celeron can be fine - you will get pocket calculator quality ones, but this one is fine - won't beat i5 (even 3rd gen), but will be just fine for 'average' use (browsing & non-4K media).

Even modern Celerons are horrible, they are always on full load from literally doing next to nothing

I bought from ebay. It was a refurbished item and to be honest it was like brand new considering it's a few years old.

Probably not good for gaming, even just basic games, with a Celeron processor...
It is really just meant for browsing and basic tasks. Not good for those who keep 100 tabs open all at once either.

Civ5 works fine at 1080p as long as you turn the graphics settings down and use the TDP mod.
