Not sure if this was posted before, I searched hotukdeals but to no avail, anyway this is at least a reminder even if not a new post.
This is a money savings deal for those who shop at Iceland groceries. Deal for free money credit/bonus of £1 for every £20 savings has been around a very long time but I never bothered with it until now, just saved £3 of my change after a shop, saved me pocketing small change after handing over a note.
Get an Iceland Bonus Card to collect offers and benefits, no point to collect. Like free £5 credit for shopping there three times during the past summer. Maths says this 5% "reward" if you pre-load savings for your shopping, in contrast to 0.5% "reward" for a reward point at other supermarkets which is about ha'penny per £ shopping; rewards points could worth more, of course). This 5% compares well with energy utility companies where they may credit you with 3% interests for an account balance in credit (when they have debited too much money from you by will).
Then you can save money (from cash, debit card, online credit) directly onto your Bonus Card for future spending. There is a capping of £1,000 savings on the bonus card at any time (including the bonus credits). So if you stuffed 47 X £20 = £940 then you will get £47 bonus making a total savings of £987 leaving £13 gap.
At cashier's simply tell the cashier how much money you would like to save and they will load money into your card for future spending. Plus, for every £20 you save, they’ll credit you £1 absolutely free.
You can drip payments to make up your "£20". When you reached the £20 mark you get £1 free money and you start again saving towards your next £20 mark.
Been this a while now, also if your lucky a bell will sound when you pay for your shopping using your bonus card, If it rings you get your entire shopping free.
We use iceland regular and never got ours free though. Currently have about £400 on ours, Christmas extra`s

Yes, but also full of fresh and frozen unprocessed food. They do have much more processed frozen than that a decade ago but that's a trend of preference for all consumers. I find Iceland has the best range of normal unprocessed frozen food, fish, meats and game meat like ostrich, venison.

Seeing you know in depth about Iceland's food, perhaps with your vast knowledge of groceries you can tell us the best place to shop is then.
Or are you what I think you are, a brainless Troll?

Nice reminder op. Thanks. Not sure if still a thing, but when I got my card, I was also given a £3 off a £30 spend
Iceland are pretty good for basics like bread and milk but terrible for things like toilet rolls.
I mentioned another trick if you go there regularly. They offer a bonus twice yearly where if you spend a certain amount for 5 or 6 shops then they give you a cash bonus. Usually this bonus is a strain on your usual shop, they try and push you to spend more.
Get a 2nd family member to get a bonus card and spend once a month on a few small items using this card. When the offer comes in you will receive a lower bonus BUT it will be much more achievable. I got a £7 bonus for 5 x £10 spends last time whereas my bonus on my normal card was £15 for 6 x £25 spends iirc.
Every little helps, PS buy your bog rolls in Poundstretcher

We use this every month, me and the hubby put £60 each on our card once we get paid, get the £6 bonus then use it for the shopping for the remainder of the month. Great when you have too much month left at the end of your money
