How many bundles have they put out recently? I'm not complaining but it seems more than usual.

I'm confused, isn't RPG Maker VX Ace the most recent iteration from this bundle (barring the $50 tier)? Why is it bottom tier with older versions in higher tiers?

It is not. RPG Maker MV is the latest one.

They asked barring RPG Maker MV, which is in the highest tier.

I know I misread the question and that is my bad, but it is still kinda relevant. It doesn't matter anymore what the order or releases is, it is simply not the latest, more precious one anymore. Its value now is in its DLCs, so I wouldn't even be surprised if they started giving Ace for free, seeing how massive its DLC library is.
The rest of the tiers seem to be distributed randomly to simply fill some arbitrary checklist.

copied response from someone from reddit:
For the majority of the lifetime of VX (and VX Ace), RPG Maker XP was actually preferred by the community for making games. There are a lot more resources out there for the older editions, so they tend to be more expensive in these bundles. On the bright side, they're actually included in this bundle, whereas the last RPG Maker bundle I remember seeing only had discount coupons for them.

Sorry about the lame description, it was meant as a placeholder while I take my time editing the post. Now I'm unable to edit it anymore for some reason.

Ok, probably (almost certainly!) missing something obvious.... but how the hell do I launch it? I have activated it and all the dlc but none of it appears in steam library? Scrap that, you click 'games' and change it to software - not the clearest of things....

Do you have a "software" category in your library? Failing that, just try a search.

Do the different versions of RPG maker have different features that are compatible with each other? I'm unsure why I would want five different versions of RPG Maker if I buy the top tier.

I would like to know this too... is it worth going for the full bundle or do I only need to go to a certain tier?

I can get why in some instances some may want to use an older/different version of software, eg the 2003 etc applications.....but surely VX Ace has the same functionality as VX + extras? Or does standard VX do something that Ace does not?
