The extra games from October's bundle were fantastic, only 1 game I probably wouldn't play (and even that is highly rated on Steam). These instant access choices seem very lackluster by comparison, no interest in this month whatsoever.

Which game is that? I already had Rise of the Tomb Raider but kept my subscription anyway and am very glad I did - the other games all look fantastic, and most of them were on my wishlist anyway. Particularly happy to get Furi and Orwell.
I think the ESO key here is worth a bit more than £4 - the game has been £4 on CDKeys before (currently £4.99) but that's for a Bethesda key, so you won't get it on Steam, and as this is a Steam key it's got a bit more value for those who specifically want it on Steam (cheapest it's ever been there is £6-something). Although, yeah, a bunch of extras for a couple of F2P games hardly brings the total value to £9.20. But the games that unlock next month should make up for that.
Also, for anyone wanting ESO DLC, you can get the game on Steam, and then you have to sign up for a TESO account to play it anyway, then you can buy a cheaper non-Steam key for the Morrowind expansion and use that to upgrade your TESO account and still be able to play the whole thing through Steam.
I've been subscribed for almost 2 years and there hasn't been a month that wasn't worth the £9.20, even if I had to sell or trade some games I already had or really didn't want to make it worthwhile.

Wargame: Red Dragon. AS I said reviews are good and it's good value but I'm not much into realistic war games or RTS games so I'll likely try to trade that for something else.
Every other game was either on my wishlist or looked interesting though so I still got great value out of October.

Quake Champions is not the full game. You get 2 out of the 11 champions.
ESO doesn't include any of the DLC and is regularly seen for around £4.
Legends bonuses seems to be a fairly small thing as well.
Doesn't really seem like a very good offering for the showcase monthly games, unfortunately.

Hopefully this means the other games are an improvement...was excited for quake until i read your comment. Might have to skip this month, well i say that...

Nah - the month that you pause will be the one with the best selection of reveals. :stuck_out_tongue:

WHY ILLUSIONARY WHY?! It does seem to always go that way though :unamused: . Guess ill just buy a years subscription and get my pondering every month out the way.

So this in the bundle is not the "Quake Champions - Champions Pack"?
confusing bundle - poor opening selection

Are these even Steam keys this time round for that matter? Doesn't look to be - based on their store page for Tamriel?

Yeah, I think you're right that they won't be. I'd still expect the other games to be Steam-based, though, aside from the Humble Original.

Have you managed to redeem them on steam?

Not actually my screenshot in this case, I'm afraid, but I don't see any reason to think that they wouldn't.

Agreed that the early unlocks aren't the most attractive, but it's always too early to write it off until we know the complete bundle contents.

You get `The End is Nigh` in the trove so that`s pretty decent too. Only just come out fairly recently-ish.

Indeed - access to all games in the Trove is widely overlooked.
